The TRENCH: DECAY live war map is a persistent front shared across every server — every squad victory moves the line. This page explains how the shared map, Major Orders, and the Big Bertha terminals actually work.
TRENCH: DECAY Live War Map & Major Orders
In TRENCH: DECAY, no deployment happens in a vacuum. Every squad that pushes the line, dodges the gas, and extracts alive moves a war map shared by every server. This page explains what that shared front is, how Major Orders fit in, and what is still undocumented.
Fig. 01 — The front moves with every victoryOne map, every server
The official game description is explicit: “Every victory changes the live war map shared on every server. Your battles decide the front line.” Unlike a typical round-based Roblox shooter where a match ends and resets, TRENCH: DECAY feeds each successful deployment into a persistent, community-wide campaign. When your squad wins, the community’s position on the map improves — for everyone, not just your lobby.
That design gives even a failed run some weight: ground that is not taken today is ground the whole player base still has to take tomorrow.
Community directives
The current live build carries the [MAJOR ORDER] tag right in the game’s title on Roblox (it replaced the earlier “[SKILL UPDATE]” tag), and creator coverage of the update wave discusses Major Orders as ongoing community pushes. The developer has also named several promo codes after them — MajorObjectives, MajorDefenseBackUp and MAJORUPDATEPUSHOUTLETSGO all reference major pushes on the shared front.
Exact objective rules and rewards are announced by the developer through the official Discord and studio group, usually alongside a new code drop.
Because the tag sits inside the store title, players often copy the whole string when they search — which is why “[MAJOR ORDER] TRENCH: DECAY codes” is a real query. There is no separate Major Order code list: the tag only marks which campaign is live, and the same verified code list applies whatever bracket the title is currently wearing.
How to push the front line
- Deploy with a squad. TRENCH: DECAY is a squad-based PvE shooter — coordinated teams survive the trenches far more often than lone wolves. See our How to Play guide.
- Push the line and extract. The core loop from the official description: push the line, dodge the gas, and extract with your squad. A completed extraction is a victory — and victories are what move the map.
- Gear up first. Redeem the current promo codes for free Medals and crates so your squad deploys with better melee and firearm options.
- Watch for Major Order announcements. New directives (and the codes that celebrate them) are posted on the official Discord and studio group — we mirror every confirmed code here.
How the front is actually scored: Terminals and Big Bertha
Hackable Terminals
Since the Big Bertha update (July 26, documented in creator gameplay coverage), hackable Terminals appear at set locations on the battlefield. Activating one awards regional points that count toward the active Major Order — the current directive tasks the community with retaking Saint-Léon and seizing cannons. Terminals are the first documented, concrete way your squad’s actions convert into war-map progress beyond simply winning the deployment.
Capture Big Bertha, don’t blow it up
The Big Bertha siege gun can now be captured instead of destroyed: activate the terminal at its base, solve a short puzzle, then hit the buttons around the gun in the right sequence. Capturing awards far more regional points than demolition — but it also triggers an enemy wave, so make sure your squad is ready to hold before you start the sequence. If you just need the objective cleared fast, destroying it remains the safer, lower-reward option.
What is not documented (yet)
The developer has not published the underlying numbers — how much one victory moves the front, how sectors are weighted, or what happens when a Major Order fails. This game is in early beta and those systems are still being tuned. We list only what is verifiable from the official game page and developer announcements, and we update this page as the beta evolves rather than guessing at mechanics.
Live war map FAQ
What is the live war map in TRENCH: DECAY?+
It is a persistent war map shared across every server. According to the official game description, every victory changes this shared map — your battles decide where the front line sits. It turns individual squad runs into one community-wide campaign.
Do my matches actually affect the war?+
Yes — that is the developer’s stated design. The official description says “every victory changes the live war map shared on every server” and “your battles decide the front line.” Winning deployments pushes the community’s side of the map forward; the exact contribution formula has not been published.
What is a Major Order?+
Major Orders are community-wide directives tied to the shared war effort. The game’s live build currently carries the “[MAJOR ORDER]” tag on its official Roblox page, and several promo codes (MajorObjectives, MajorDefenseBackUp) have been named after these pushes. Precise objective rules are announced by the developer via Discord and the studio group.
Do “[MAJOR ORDER] TRENCH: DECAY codes” differ from normal TRENCH DECAY codes?+
No — it is the same code list. The developer prefixes the Roblox experience title with a bracketed campaign tag (currently [MAJOR ORDER], earlier [SKILL UPDATE]) while a major push is live, so players who copy the full store title end up searching for “[MAJOR ORDER] TRENCH: DECAY codes”. The bracket changes which campaign is active, never the promo codes. The identical list works either way and is kept on our Codes page.
Is this like the galactic war in Helldivers 2?+
The comparison is fair at a high level — a persistent, community-driven front that everyone contributes to. The developer’s own search tags on the game page even reference Helldivers II. But TRENCH: DECAY is its own WW1 squad PvE game by an independent solo developer, not a copy.
