TRENCH: DECAY player count & visits

How big is the war, really? TRENCH: DECAY went from an empty trench to 4.27 million visits in seven weeks — built by one developer. Below is the live strength report plus every dated reading we have taken since launch, pulled from Roblox’s own platform data rather than a third-party tracker.

Every reading we have taken since launch

We log the platform figures on every sweep, so this is a real time series rather than a single cached snapshot. Rows marked + are the rounded totals Roblox was displaying at the time.

03 / Visits are not players

Roughly 679,000 people have actually enlisted

A “visit” is a session, not a person, so 4.27 million visits does not mean 4.27 million players. The honest proxy is the join badge: The Enlisted is handed out the instant you load in, and it had been awarded 711,266 times at our August 22 badge reading. Divide the visit total of that day by that figure and you land at roughly six sessions per player.

That ratio is the interesting part. A game that spikes on the front page and then dies shows one or two visits per player. Eight or nine means people are coming back — which fits a beta shipping a new build almost every day. The badge page breaks down how many of them ever survive a run.

04 / Concurrency swings

Do not read a single reading as a trend

Our concurrent readings range from 571 to 1,260 depending on the hour we looked. Roblox concurrency is driven hard by time of day and region, and we sweep at fixed clock times rather than at peak, so a lower number does not mean the game is shrinking.

The signals that actually track health are the ones that cannot go down: total visits and favourites. Both rose on every single reading in the table above, including on days when the concurrent figure happened to dip. Favourites in particular went from 20,082 to 59,632 in seven weeks.

05 / What we cannot tell you

Straight answers on the limits of this data

No peak-concurrent record

Roblox does not publish an all-time peak player figure, and neither does the developer. Our 1,197 reading from July 24 is simply the highest we have caught — the true peak is almost certainly higher, and we are not going to guess it.

No revenue or retention data

Nothing about earnings, day-one retention or session length is public for this experience. Any site quoting those numbers for TRENCH: DECAY is estimating, not reporting.

Beware stale mirrors

Several stats and code sites cache old snapshots — we have repeatedly seen “1.8M visits / 30.1K favourites” served days after the real totals passed 2.3M. If a page will not tell you when it last checked, do not trust its numbers.

Field Questions

Player count FAQ

How many people play TRENCH: DECAY right now?

At our August 22, 2026 reading there were 1,260 players in-game at that moment, spread across 40-player servers. Concurrent counts on Roblox swing hard through the day — we have logged readings between roughly 570 and 1,260 for this game inside a seven-week window — so treat any single number as a snapshot of that minute rather than a fixed population. The all-time figure is far larger: 4,274,298 total visits.

How many total visits does TRENCH: DECAY have?

It crossed 2.5 million on August 5, 2026, and by our August 22 reading the counter read 4,274,298 visits. The developer’s own game description notes the first million arrived within two weeks of launch, and our dated readings show the second million landing by July 29 — under a month after the experience was created on July 1, 2026. Recent growth has been running at roughly 40,000 to 175,000 visits a day.

Is TRENCH: DECAY popular?

By Roblox standards it is a genuine breakout for a solo-developed beta. Over 4.27 million visits and 59,632 favourites inside seven weeks is a strong showing, and it briefly reached the Roblox front page — the FRONTPAGEREWARD code exists specifically to mark that. The like ratio is also unusually healthy at around 94% (30,480 likes against 1,946 dislikes).

How many unique players has TRENCH: DECAY had?

Visits count sessions, not people, so they overstate the audience. A better proxy is the join badge: The Enlisted, which is awarded the moment you load in, had been earned 711,266 times at the August 22, 2026 badge reading. Set against the visit total on the same day, that works out to roughly six visits per enlisted player — a sign that people are coming back rather than bouncing after one run.

Why did the concurrent player count drop?

It has not trended down in any meaningful way — it oscillates. Our readings are taken at different hours, and Roblox concurrency is heavily time-of-day driven, so a 571 reading on August 1 and a 774 reading on August 2 mostly reflect when we looked. What matters for a growth check is the visit curve and the favourites curve, and both have climbed on every single reading we have taken.

Where do these numbers come from?

Straight from Roblox’s own platform data for the experience — the same source the game page itself renders from — rather than from a third-party tracker. That matters, because several code and stats sites cache stale snapshots for this game; we have repeatedly seen figures like "1.8M visits" served long after the real total passed 2.3M. Every row on this page is stamped with the date we read it.
