TRENCH: DECAY Codes Not Working?

Getting an “Invalid Code” message when you know the code is right? Nine times out of ten it is one of a handful of fixable causes. Work down this list and you will get your medals and Enlisted crates flowing again.

Unlock the redeem feature before anything else

The single most common reason codes fail for new players is that the redemption feature is still locked. TRENCH: DECAY requires you to like the experience on Roblox and join the developer’s studio rook group before the code box will accept anything. Do both, relaunch the game, and the “Enter code here…” panel will start working. If codes were failing across the board, this is almost certainly why.

This is the fix most players never hear about: you have to like TRENCH: DECAY on Roblox and join the developer’s studio rook group before the code redemption menu unlocks. If the Supply Codes box refuses every code you enter, back out, favourite and like the experience, join the group, then relaunch — the panel should now accept codes.

You never finished the tutorial run

Newly documented

A step-by-step walkthrough published by PCGamesN on August 1 adds a stage most guides leave out entirely: before the code panel behaves, you have to actually start a round and complete the tutorial by racing to the first extraction point, then click through the prompts until the main user interface appears. Only after that does the full menu — including the code button — exist for you to use. If you have been bouncing off the main screen without ever completing a run, finish the tutorial first, then close the game, like it, join the group and relaunch.

A typo or wrong capitalisation

Easy to miss

Codes are case-sensitive where applicable, so a single wrong letter or capital is enough to trigger an "Invalid Code" message. Never type codes by hand — copy them straight from the Codes page with the copy button and paste them into the box exactly as listed.

The code has expired

Time-limited

Because this is a solo-dev beta, codes can be pulled without much notice. If a code that once worked now fails, it has most likely expired. Check the Codes page — expired entries are moved to their own list so you are not wasting time on dead codes.

You are on an old server

Quick reset

A brand-new code sometimes does not register on servers running an older build of the game. Fully close TRENCH: DECAY and relaunch it — this drops you onto a fresh server, usually with the latest update, so the new code is recognised.

The code has not been released yet

Beta timing

New codes drop in waves around updates and milestones. If you saw a code somewhere but it will not redeem, it may not be live yet — or it may be a code from a different game entirely. Only use codes verified against the developer’s own announcements.

Why does every TRENCH: DECAY code say invalid?+

If literally nothing redeems, the redeem feature itself is probably still locked. You must like TRENCH: DECAY on Roblox and join the studio rook group first — only then does the in-game code redemption menu become usable. After doing both, relaunch the game and try again.

What is the full order of steps to unlock code redemption?+

Based on the walkthrough PCGamesN published on August 1, the reliable sequence is: launch TRENCH: DECAY on Roblox, start a round and complete the tutorial by racing to the first extraction point, click through the prompts until the main user interface appears, close the game, like the experience and join the studio rook group, then relaunch. Open the menu on the right-hand side of the screen, press the code button, enter a working code and hit Redeem.

Where is the code menu in TRENCH: DECAY?+

Launch the game and look on the right-hand side of the screen for the Supply Codes button (shown as a </> icon on some builds). Tap it to open the code box, paste a code, and press the red Redeem button.

A code worked for others but not me — what now?+

First confirm you copied it exactly (codes are case-sensitive). Then fully close and reopen the game to move to a fresh server on the latest build. If it still fails after that, the code has most likely expired — check the Codes page for the current active list.

Do TRENCH: DECAY codes expire?+

Yes. As a beta project the developer rotates codes in and out, and there is not always a warning before one expires. Redeem codes as soon as you find them, and treat any code on our expired list as no longer claimable.

Are TRENCH: WW1 codes the same as TRENCH: DECAY codes?+

Yes — TRENCH: WW1 is the game’s former name, made by the same developer, so the code lists are the same experience. Do not confuse it with TRENCHES, which is a completely different game by another studio; those codes will not work here.
